Astro Bot Wormy Passage Collectibles

Exploring the colorful and imaginative world of Astro Bot is not just about completing levels it’s also about uncovering every hidden collectible. In the Wormy Passage level, players can discover various items that contribute to full completion, including Astro Bots in distress, puzzle pieces, and hidden artifacts. These collectibles are cleverly tucked away in areas that often require a mix of platforming skill, camera control, and exploration. Missing even one could prevent players from hitting 100% in the game, so knowing where to find each item in Wormy Passage is essential for dedicated fans and trophy hunters.

Overview of Wormy Passage in Astro Bot

Wormy Passage is one of the more visually dynamic and mechanically rich stages in Astro Bot. As the name suggests, the level features narrow tunnels, worm-like enemies, and shifting platforms. The layout encourages vertical and horizontal movement, often requiring players to look around carefully and use their controller’s features to interact with the environment.

There are three main types of collectibles in this level:

  • Rescue Bots: Fellow Astro Bots that you must locate and free
  • Chameleon: A hidden creature that blends into the scenery
  • Puzzle Pieces: Part of the larger mural puzzle in the main hub

Rescue Bots Locations in Wormy Passage

There are usually eight Rescue Bots to find in each level. They are often placed in clever positions where players must jump, listen for audio cues, or look behind objects.

1. First Rescue Bot – After the First Tunnel

Once you exit the initial worm-filled tunnel, look to your right. You’ll see a ledge with a bot waving for help. Use a high jump to reach them safely. Be careful of the rotating platforms nearby that may knock you off balance.

2. Second Rescue Bot – Behind the Waterfall

After crossing the narrow bridge with rolling enemies, you’ll see a small waterfall to the left. Walk behind it to find a hidden alcove with a bot trapped in a cage. Break it open to rescue them.

3. Third Rescue Bot – Wall Climb Section

In the vertical climbing area, make sure to check the far-left wall after grabbing the climbing vines. A Rescue Bot is hiding just out of sight. Use your hook or extendable hand gadget to reach them.

4. Fourth Rescue Bot – On the Spinning Gear

As you hop onto the moving gear platforms, don’t rush forward too fast. One of the Rescue Bots is riding a gear in circles. Time your jump carefully to land, free them, and jump off again without falling.

5. Fifth Rescue Bot – After the Mid-Level Checkpoint

Just after the checkpoint, follow the standard path until you see two platforms leading upward. Instead of going straight, turn around and look down. You’ll spot a small ledge with a trapped bot. Drop carefully to save them and then use the spring pad to return to the main path.

6. Sixth Rescue Bot – Hidden Above the Tunnel Exit

When you exit the dark worm tunnel near the end, turn the camera upward. A Rescue Bot is perched above the tunnel’s exit arch. Use a high jump and hover move to get there. It’s easy to miss if you’re not looking up.

7. Seventh Rescue Bot – Near the Swirling Vortex

As you approach the swirling wind tunnel, stay to the left and let the wind carry you slightly off course. There’s a bot trapped on a spinning disc. Use short bursts of jetpack movement to reach them safely.

8. Eighth Rescue Bot – Final Platform Before the Finish Line

Right before the level ends, don’t rush into the final portal. Turn the camera fully to the right. On a side platform, the last Rescue Bot waits. Use a timed dash and hover to reach them and then complete the stage.

Chameleon Location in Wormy Passage

The hidden Chameleon is often the trickiest collectible in any Astro Bot level. In Wormy Passage, it requires both sharp eyes and good camera movement to spot.

Where to Find the Chameleon

Midway through the level, after the vertical gear climbing section, stop on the high ledge before descending into the next tunnel. Rotate the camera slowly toward the rock wall on the far right. The Chameleon is partially blended into the moss-covered surface. Once you spot it, it will register as found. No physical interaction is needed just spotting it with the camera unlocks it.

Puzzle Piece Locations in Wormy Passage

Puzzle Pieces are scattered in hard-to-reach or hidden corners of each level. Collecting them contributes to building the PlayStation-themed mural in the Labo hub area. Wormy Passage contains four pieces.

1. First Puzzle Piece – Under the Starting Platform

Before you move forward from the starting area, look down and behind the starting point. There’s a lower platform with the first Puzzle Piece. Drop down, grab it, and use the bounce pad to return to the main route.

2. Second Puzzle Piece – Moving Platform Sequence

After rescuing the third bot, watch for a platform with a breakable crate. Smash the crate to reveal the Puzzle Piece inside. You must time your jump to land on the platform before it slides away again.

3. Third Puzzle Piece – Climbable Wall Path

Near the vertical vine climb, look to the right side of the wall before ascending. There’s a hidden ledge you can leap to that contains the third Puzzle Piece. Don’t miss it, as climbing back down is tricky.

4. Fourth Puzzle Piece – Final Stretch Area

Near the end of the level, just before the last Rescue Bot, keep an eye on a moving platform high above the main path. Use the gust of wind or spring jump to reach it. The final Puzzle Piece floats above it, requiring careful timing to grab.

Tips for Collecting Everything in One Run

Collecting every item in a single run is possible but requires attention to detail. Here are a few tips to help:

  • Use headphones: Rescue Bots often call out with high-pitched cries that help reveal their location.
  • Rotate the camera constantly: Many collectibles are hidden out of the default viewing angle.
  • Explore thoroughly: Look behind walls, under platforms, and near environmental obstacles.
  • Don’t rush: Take your time and backtrack when necessary. Most areas let you return before the final checkpoint.
